Q: Tell me about your background.

A: I am 28 years old and currently live in Santa Clara. I was born and raised in Cupertino and have lived my entire life in the Bay Area.

Q: What are your interests besides weddings?

A: I love everything food & wine – cooking, dining at new restaurants, wine tasting and pairings. I am a huge San Jose Sharks fan and enjoy watching their games.

Q: Why weddings?

A: I’ve always loved weddings. I love flipping through the pages of wedding magazines and photo albums, getting new ideas and seeing a story unfold. I love that I am helping bring together two people’s special day, bringing their families together as one and making their Wedding Day dreams a reality – it’s an honor to be a part of that.

Q: How did you become a Wedding Consultant?

A: From elementary school through high school, I was an active member of the student council, helping arrange school activities. In my high school choir group, I organized our carpools and distributed directions for our performances. Because of my organization and planning skills, my friends had always said that I should be a Wedding Planner, which made me think "what a perfect job!"

I worked in hotels for over seven years in Catering, Event Services, Sales and the Front Desk in order to learn hotel operations and get my foot in the door in the hospitality industry.

I had the opportunity to meet Michelle and work weddings with her and fell in love even more so with becoming a Wedding Planner. I enrolled in the Wedding Planner Certification Course at Cal State Hayward to receive my certification and become a Wedding Consultant.

Q: Tell me about your previous experience working on weddings?

A: I was a Wedding Coordinator Assistant at a resort where I conducted site visits to potential brides & grooms, assisted with the menu and linen selections, and was the on-site contact on the day of the event.

As a former Event Services Manager and Corporate Group Sales Manager, I became experienced in negotiations and event management.

Working with Michelle, I have assisted her at many weddings, helping to make sure things were in place and help oversee that the event runs smoothly.

Q: How would you describe your personality when working with brides?

A: I really take pride in and ownership of the event. I like getting to know the couple so we can bring in elements of their personality into the wedding to make it unique and their own.

Planning a wedding can be very stressful. I want to make sure that couples enjoy the process and experience the fun parts of planning a wedding. It is a momentous occasion and each step of the process should be celebrated and enjoyed.

Q: What distinguishes you from other Wedding Planners?

A: I think that my work experience definitely distinguishes me from other planners. Experience in the Hospitality Industry is invaluable in this business.

Also, being a Certified Wedding Consultant (CWC) is something that is not easily attained; it is very hard work and definitely gives the formal training needed to be successful as a Wedding Planner.

Lastly, I think my approach is unique. My demeanor is calm, soothing and fun. I want my clients to feel completely at ease and comfortable with me and be able to trust me.
