Oscar Fashion / Wedding Fashion

Hi!  I am excited to post early this week in the name of Oscar!  Here are my favorite dresses and looks.  In my opinion, most can be wedding fashion crossovers, and I'm not just referring to the white ones (but white was predominant this year).  Some are inspired by the royal wedding--long sleeves were huge this year!  All are gorgeous and worn with the greatest accessory of all...confidence!  (And Spanx.)

1. Gweneth in Tom Ford.  Cape Dress, what?!  I liked it with the cape.   I LOVED it without.  For the modern, minimalist bride.  I thought it was daring and the lines are exquisite!

Giuliana Rancic in Tony Ward.  It's opulent and dramatic and I think she stole the show!  I love the shoulder detailing!  I want this dress.

Rooney Mara in white Givenchy.  I think this is the most bridal of my faves--it's accessible and architectural, pretty and feminine.

The Best Hair and Makeup Award goes to Jessica Chastain!  This picture could be a shot from a wedding.  I am dying for the top eye liner and the soft half-up half-down do.  She looks PERFECT!

Natalie Portman in Dior.  We just posted a polka dot dress on our blog on Friday!  Dots are in...Bridal and Hollywood!

Claire Danes in Valentino at the Vanity Fair Oscar party.  Neon is huge right now; this is a dress for a daring, playful, tradition-bucking bride!

These were only a few of my favorite looks.  JLo rocked an amazing top bun--not her first rodeo, right?  Milla Jovovich perfectly pulled off a one-shouldered white number, I loved the metallic hues--especially on Meryl, and I thought Viola Davis picked the most amazing shade of green.   Michelle Williams has inspired me once again with her bold color choices--bright red-orange looked amazing on her.  Lastly, I should mention that my favorite accessory of all for the night was the pretty little thing on Stacy Kiebler's arm.  Hot.

Good job, Hollywood!  It' s tough job, but somebody's gotta do it!
