Emmy Fashion, Wedding Fashion, 2012

I love Hollywood fashion, and I love bridal fashion, so of course it's time to post about the 2012 Emmy Awards!  The overall look this year for gowns was bright and modern.  My favorite dress was Ginnifer Goodwin's orange Monique Lhuillier gown--orange might not be a color for a wedding dress, but the cut was simple and beautiful, and the design on the fabric was unique and feminine.  Monique Lhuillier is a wedding dress designer, so it is easy to imagine this one in ivory or cream walking down as aisle red-carpet style!  Or rocking it in orange, I would love to see a bride in this dress! Heidi Klum and Julianne Hough were on point in mint last night (my not-so-secret pick for next year's Pantone Color of the Year).  Check out my Pinterest board 'Weddings: Mint Accents, Mint Theme'.  Again, might not be a color for a wedding dress, but I bet a lot of bridesmaids will rock in in the next year!

One of the only white dresses of the night, on Jessica Pare, immediately stood out as bridal to me.  Her whole look, from the glamourous hair and red lips, to the simple black belt, would be an amazing bridal ensemble.

Lastly, I loved Zoe Deschanel's pale blue Reem Acra dress, and Sarah Hyland's gorgeous Marchesa.  Both very feminine and flattering, both very bridal!

Brides aren't all wearing white anymore.  Next week, I am featuring an Allure bride in coral on her wedding day.  Rules are meant to be broken!
